Ebola Virus-A new threat to the people????

WHAT IS EBOLA?
  •          Ebola is caused by a virus
  •          No vaccine and no cure available
  •          Causes severe illness, with bleeding
  •          Highly contagious; many people can quickly become infected
  •          Up to 90% of the infected will die
The virus and its species were both originally named for Zaire (now the Democratic Republic Of Congo), the country where it was first described, and was at first suspected to be a new "strain" of the closely related Marburg Virus; the virus (but not its species) was renamed to "ebola virus" in 2010 to avoid confusion.
Its natural reservoir is believed to be bats, particularly fruit bats, and it is primarily transmitted between humans and from animals to humans, through body fluids.

EBOLA VIRUS FEVER:

Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is a disease that affects humans and primates caused by the Ebola Virus and three other closely related viruses in the genus (group of related viruses) ebola virus. It is a hemorrhagic fever, meaning that victims may bleed inside the body or externally, and it has one of the highest case fatality rates(death rates) of any disease, killing between 50% and 90% of victims.

 HOW DOES IT SPREAD?

  •          Sick people can spread the disease to others
  •          People in direct contact with sick people are at highest risk:
  •          Family members
  •         Healthcare workers
  •         Contact with dead bodies can cause infection. BE CAREFUL
        (Bury carefully. Keep away)
  •         DO NOT wash, touch or kiss dead bodies
  •        DO NOT wash hands in the same bucket as others who have touched the body

SYMPTOMS:
  •            Fever
  •            Nausea
  •            Headache
  •            Tiredness
  •            Vomitting(may contain bleeding)
  •            Diarhoea(may contain bleeding)
  •            Coughing(may contain bleeding)
  •            Bleeding

 DIAGNOSIS:
The diagnosis is confirmed by isolating the virus, detecting its RNA or proteins, or detecting antibodies against the virus in a person's blood. Isolating the virus by cell culture, detecting the viral RNA by polymerase chain reaction Polymerase Chain ReactionPCR) and detecting proteins by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) is effective early and in those who have died from the disease. Detecting antibodies against the virus is effective late in the disease and in those who recover. During an outbreak, virus isolation is often not feasible. The most common diagnostic methods are therefore real time PCR and ELISA detection of proteins, which can be performed in field or mobile hospitals. Filovirions can be seen and identified in cell culture by electron microscope due to their unique filamentous shapes, but electron microscopy cannot tell the difference between the various filoviruses despite there being some length differences.

  PREVENTION:
  • You can catch EBOLA from someone who is sick or dead. Dead bodies carry the virus. Bury carefully. Keep away.
  •  Wash your hands regularly – use soap!
  • DO NOT touch an infected person or their body fluids, including blood, vomit, faeces, urine
  • EBOLA is in animals and bats too. DO NOT touch or eat
  • Call your medical centre and tell them about your illness
  • Listen to the advice. You may be sent to a special hospital
  • Keep away from others so they don’t get sick
  • Be especially careful of your vomit and diarrhoea
  • Getting treatment at Ebola Centers EARLY increases the chance of recovery.
  •   Quarantine, also known as enforced isolation, is usually effective in decreasing spread.Governments often quarantine areas where the disease is occurring or individuals who may be infected
EBOLA-MAIN PREVALENCE AREAS:
2014 EBOLA OUTBREAK:
In West Africa. The outbreak is caused by one of the ebolaviruses, called simply, Ebola Virus(EBOV). It is the most severe outbreak of Ebola yet recorded in regard to the number of human cases and fatalities, since records began in 1976.The outbreak began in Guinea in December 2013 but was not detected until March 2014,after which it spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria. In August 2014, the WHO reported a total to date of 1,848 suspected cases and 1,013 deaths (1,176 cases and 660 deaths being lab(confirmed), and formally designated the outbreak as a public health emergency of International Concern.

Should people in India worry?
‘It s not prevalent in India, but people living in remote areas, where living conditions are poor, are always at risk of getting infected. But largely there is no need to worry as such.’

KEEP CITY AND SURROUNDINGS CLEAN!!!!!THEN NO EBOLA CAN ENTER INTO INDIA!!!!

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!!!
SO,ITS IN OUR HANDS TO GET PREVENTED!!!!

LIVE SAFE....BE HAPPY!!!!

PROJECT LOON-LOON FOR ALL!!!!

Internet:
Internet-The word itself is enough. It is true that our world is running luxuriously and comfortably because of this internet.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link several billion devices worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web(WWW), the infrastructure to support email, and peer-to-peer networks for file sharing and telephony.

Internet using nations:
Internet is almost used in most of the nations with some restrictions that differ from nation to nation.China is the nation with highest number of Internet users(538 millions) followed by US(245 millions) and India(138 millions).

Here is the stat:
Still Internet an unattainable height for people!!!
Eventhough the stats say that most of the nations are connected to internet with hundreds of milllions,it is sad that it covers only one-third of the population.Two-thirds of the world's population still dont afford an internet connectivity.
What's the solution for providing Internet to the world???

Here comes the concept of PROJECT LOON.It is powered by Technical giant of the world,GOOGLE CORPORATION.
What is Project loon?
Project Loon is a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas, help fill coverage gaps, and bring people back online after disasters.

Project Loon balloons float in the stratosphere, twice as high as airplanes and the weather. In the stratosphere, there are many layers of wind, and each layer of wind varies in direction and speed. Loon balloons go where they’re needed by rising or descending into a layer of wind blowing in the desired direction of travel. People can connect to the balloon network using a special Internet antenna attached to their building. The signal bounces from this antenna up to the balloon network, and then down to the global Internet on Earth.

Design of project loon:
Project Loon began in June 2013 with an experimental pilot in New Zealand, where a small group of Project Loon pioneers tested Loon technology. The results of the pilot test have been used to improve the technology, and continued refinements are now being tested in an ongoing series of research flights in California’s Central Valley.A well-made balloon envelope is critical for allowing a balloon to last around 100 days in the stratosphere. Loon’s balloon envelopes are made from sheets of polyethylene plastic, and they measure fifteen meters wide by twelve meters tall when fully inflated. When a balloon is ready to be taken out of service, gas is released from the envelope to bring the balloon down to Earth in a controlled descent. In the unlikely event that a balloon drops too quickly, a parachute attached to the top of the envelope is deployed.

How the loon help to get connected?
Each balloon can provide connectivity to a ground area about 40 km in diameter at speeds comparable to 3G. For balloon-to-balloon and balloon-to-ground communications, the balloons use antennas equipped with specialized radio frequency technology. Project Loon currently uses ISM bands (specifically 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands) that are available for anyone to use.
Its a hi-tech research being done by Google to provide free internet access for every nook and corner of the world. It is still under research and some balloons have been launched for trial purposes.
So if this project end successfully..we will all get free internet access and there will be huge loss for Internet service providers it seems so.It will surely become a milestone in the Technical field. The world will start its new journey with 100% population with internet access!!!
Amazing!!
Stunning!!!
Incredible!!!
Hats off to GOOGLE people who are working on it!!!!

Mission272-A big mission for Indian politicians and Indian people

Election in India:
India being the largest democratic country in the world has a great tradition in Election process. At the national level, the head of government, Prime Minister, is elected by the members of Loksabha, lower house of the parliament of India. All members of Lok Sabha except two, who can be nominated by president of India, are directly elected through general elections which takes place every five years, in normal circumstances, by universal adult suffrage.Members of Rajya sabha, upper house of Indian parliament, are elected by elected members of the legislative assemblies of states and electoral college for Union Territories of India.
It involves a number of step-by-step processes from announcement of election dates by the Election comission of India, which brings into force the 'model code of conduct' for the political parties, to the announcement of results and submission of the list of successful candidates to the executive head of the state or the centre. The submission of results marks the end of the election process, thereby paving way for the formation of the new government.

Election Commission:(Nirvachan Sadan)
The Election Commission of India is an autonomous, constitutionally established federal authority responsible for administering all the electoral processes in the Republic of India. Under the supervision of the commission, free and fair elections have been held in India at regular intervals as per the principles enshrined in the Constitution. The Election Commission has the power of superintendence, direction and control of all elections to the Parliament of India and the state legislatures and of elections to the office of the President of India and the Vice-President of India.
History of Elections in India:
In India, first Lok sabha elections were held during 1951-1952.In that elections there were 1874 candidates, which rose to 13952 candidates in 1996. However in 2009 Lok Sabha Elections only 8070 candidates contested.
15 elections have been held and this year its going to be 16th Loksabha Elections for the Indian parliament.
  • 1st Lok Sabha(1951-52)
  • 2nd Lok Sabha(1957)
  • 3rd Lok Sabha(1962)
  • 4th Lok Sabha(1967)
  • 5th Lok Sabha(1971)
  • 6th Lok Sabha(1977)
  • 7th Lok Sabha(1980)
  • 8th Lok Sabha(1984-85)
  • 9th Lok Sabha(1989)
  • 10th Lok Sabha(1991)
  • 11th Lok Sabha(1996)
  • 12th Lok Sabha(1998)
  • 13th Lok Sabha(1999)
  • 14th Lok Sabha(2004)
  • 15th Lok Sabha(2009)
  • 16th Lok Sabha(2014)

Race between Political parties:
Indian National Congress is the only party which has great dominance over the Indian elections since our independence. They have ruled India for more than 60 years.Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is the second largest party and Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the only BJP prime minister of India till now.BJP started contesting the elections from 1984.
Rise of Regional parties and coalition government:
Till 1977,INC single handedly governed our country with majority number of seats. In 1977,coalition of all the major parties defeated the congress government led by Indira Gandhi. After that many regional parties started to play their role in the Lok Sabha elections.
Parties like DMK(Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam),TDP(Telugu desam Party),AIADMK(All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam),Samajwadi party,Bahujan samaj party,Janata Dal,CPI,CPI(M)  also played a pre dominant role in governing India since 1977.
In 2014,Congress was re elected to form a coalition government named United Progressive Alliance(UPA) with DMK,TMC,NCP while BJP formed the opposition named National Democratic Alliance(NDA).

What does 2014 elections convey?
In 2014 Youngsters of India are going to play a major role in selecting the winning side.As of 2009 statistics there were 714 million voters. Now there are 814.5 million voters which means that 100 millions were newly registered. So they are going to be trend setters for 2014 Grand election festival.

MISSION 272:
The party with 272+ seats will be allowed to form a majority government on their own. This is what each and every political party hunting for.
Every political party trying their level best to criticise others to grab the winning trophy. But now its going to be Rahul Gandhi(INC) vs Narendra Modi(BJP) face off for Prime minister's post.
 Rise of AAP:
AAP(Aam Aadmi Party) was started as a Anti corruption movement by Arvind Kejriwal supported by people like Anna Hazare,Kiran Bedi etc. They raised their voice for Anti-corruption and succeeded to some height. After that they transformed it to a political party and contested in Delhi elections in 2014 and won some seats in surprise. Now it is bring to the notice that they are also the tough competitors for the 2014 Lok Sabha election race.

People are delighted and at the same time nervous about the 2014 elections. They are expecting a great potential form our politicians. Will our politicians be able to satisfy Indian's dreams? Its purely in hands of them and also in hands of voters.Voters should use their priceless vote for the sake of country and they should not sell their vote for any sake.
#MYVOTENOTFORSALE

Let us take the above oath to make India innovative and incredible!!!

Is corruption really the big factor for 2014 elections?
None of the parties in India are pure. Each and every politician in India is trying to live pure but he doesn't.I don't know the reason but surely Politicians have to think our status with status of European countries and have to work for our country to develop our society.Otherwise, nothing will change in India.

RICH GETS RICHER....POOR GETS POORER
This is the real fact about Indian people.

Indians have to change their mindset and have to come forward to open the cause and should encourage Socialism in our country.

Its time for Thinking!!!
Its time for electing!!!

Democracy is by the people, for the people and of the people!!!
Let us join together and raise up to build a strong India by electing a good capable candidate.

Indian films-Road to the Oscars!!!

The Academy awards:
The Academy Awards, commonly known as The Oscars ,is an annual American awards ceremony honouring achievements in the film industry. Winners are awarded the statuette, officially the Academy Award of Merit, that is much better known by its nickname Oscar. The awards, first presented in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, are overseen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
Role of Indian films in Oscars!!
On completion of 100 years of Indian Cinema, it's definitely an unfortunate moment that despite of honest attempts Indian movies could not win any Oscar Awards. On the contrary we can say that Bollywood is living up to its audience's choice by producing movies with 'entertainment' as the sole factor.

India has sent over forty films to the competition. Most of India's submissions were in Hindi. Tamil films were submitted by the committee on eight occasions. Two submissions were made in Bengali, Marathi and Malayalam; only one film was in Telugu and Gujarati . Tamil actor Kamalhaasan has most often represented the country as a performer, with seven films submitted—including three consecutive films between 1985 and 1987, one of which he directed himself. The second most successful is actor, director, producer Aamir Khan with five movies to date: Earth, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par and Peepli Live. Bengali director Satyajit Ray, represented India three times. However, none of their films were nominated for the award.

  Satyajit Ray-A true legend!!!
Satyajit Ray,an Indian filmmaker and among the dozen or so great masters of world cinema, is known for his humanistic approach to cinema. He has represented India three times in this competition, the most by any director.

100 years of Indian Cinema-A bit disappointment at the Oscars!!!

Since 1957, India has sent 45 films as its official entry for the Oscars. Out of these, only 3 films - Mother India (1957), Salaam Bombay (1988) and Lagaan (2001) were nominated for the Oscars in the "Best Foreign Language Film".

The 1957 Hindi film Mother India was India's first submission. The film made it to the final shortlist and was nominated alongside four other films in the category. It came close to winning the Academy Award but lost to Nights of Cabiria by a single vote.Since 1984, India has not submitted a film on only one occasion; in 2003, the FFI controversially chose not make an entry as they felt no film would be in a position to compete with films from other nations. As of 2013, only three Indian films—Mother India, Salaam Bombay! and Lagaan—have been nominated for the Academy Award for "Best Foreign Language Film".

Is it enough for traditional Indian film Industry??

The Rahman euphoria piggy-backed on the Slumdog Millionaire wave to clinch an Academy award. However, it doesn't look likely that a Bollywood movie or actor can pull off a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Made by a Taiwanese director, Ang Lee, in Mandarin, the Taiwanese-Hong Kong Kong- American production picked up the Best foreign film, was nominated for Best Film and Lee picked up the best director Oscar. Perhaps the fact that it had the clout of a major US studio backing it helped Ang Lee's chances.
Essentially because what qualifies as a masala bollywood fare refuses to move ahead from variations of how-the-boy-met-the-girl-pataoed-the-girl-sang-soulful-duets-met family/society-opposition-is-reunited/bumped off. If this is not the main theme of the movie, it is definitely a subplot. Most Indian movies have no nuances or layers and can be told in a single line. In fact, that is how most films find producers or actors - one-line story narrations.

The main thing for Indian films not making to the Oscars is

Our movies are concerned with Star power, not Substantial plot!!!

Yet some Indians made our nation proud!!

 Bhanu Athaiya:
First Indian to won an Academy award. She won Oscar for Best costume design for the film Gandhi.
 Satyajit Ray:
He received the Honorary Award in the year 1992 for his excellence in film industry.

A.R.Rahman:
A.R.Rahman became the first Indian to bag two Academy awards. He won two Oscars for Best Original score and Best original song for the film Slumdog millionaire.
A.R.Rahman also nominated for Best original score and Best original song(Jai ho)for the film 127 hours.

Resul pookutty:
Resul won an Oscar for Best sound design for Slumdog millionaire.
Gulzar:
Gulzar won an Oscar for Best original song for Slumdog millionaire.

India has produced only 6 Oscars since 1957.The Oscar count disappoints us a lot and lets hope for more honours for Indian talents in the world stage in future!!!

Jai ho!!!

Amazing Indians!!World gonna wear this Indian FIN!!!!

Indians-Always the best!!!

From Aryabhatta in 1970s we have achieved a distinguished position in the space technology , by launching several GSLVs, PSLVs, & Insat series vehicles which in turn have contributed for communication development of the country. In the field of medicine several vaccines been introduced to cure diseases & thus increased the average life expectancy of a person. Achievement in the IT sector with principle centres of Bengaluru & Hyderabad have made India a important hub of the world will be no exaggeration.

Indians have achieved many milestones in each and every field.Indians are showing their extraordinary talents in all aspects!!!

Recent innovation made by our proud Indians!!!

Its called as wear fin!!!

What is wear fin??

Fin is a real life buddy for every individual to do their digital interactions as natural as possible. Fin is a trendy gadget you can wear on the thumb and make your whole palm as a digital touch interface.

A young Indian technical geek has invented a ring-type device, that can turn your palm into a gesture interface to control multiple devices, including mobile phones, television, music system, gaming console to name a few. The smart ring called ”Fin” promises to be the next revolution in wearable technology. ”Fin” is the first hardware product developed by Kochi-based robotics start-up, headed by 23-year-old Rohildev.

Wearable devices are the next stage of computing and the thumb ring developed by Rohil and his team is stylish and easy for use. Fin is fitted with a bunch of sensors that can detect finger taps, swipes and identify various parts of the palm by calculating their distance from the thumb. It uses smart Low Energy Technology such as Bluetooth for communication with connected devices.

It can transmit these natural gestures as commands to any connected Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone, a music player, a gaming console, a digital interface inside a car, a television set or a home automation device.
Innovative features of FIN!!!

  • Fin comes with Water-proof: IP67.
  • Size/Fit: Flexible.
  • Battery: Li Po custom battery with micro-USB charging dock ; One charge will last for 1 week; more than one year durable.
  • Sensors: Fin can track accurate movement of your thumb on the palm also detect each part of your finger where you are touching.
  • Communication: Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR and 4.0
  • Compatibility: Windows, MAC, iOS, Android, Windows Phones.

How fin will make your life more comfortable??

The developers explains its comfortability as follows...

Its makes a 100% clear visible screen for user's best interface between their device.

It can be controlled much easier than that of hand held systems!!!

Configuration of FIN with our hands!!!
What we can expect from fin?

Thumb is accessible to anywhere in the palm and its more natural too. So wearing a Fin will make your palm as a touch interface that enables the people to interact with Smartphones [Dial Numbers, Attending calls, SMS, Social media, Taking Quick Notes etc.] especially for visually challenged people since they sense the world through touch.
A big problem in all the wearable devices is the input of Instructions. In the much-Hyped Google glass, a voice instruction and a touch pad on devices is provided, but both the input methods are cumbersome in odd situations. Integration with FIN will be ideal for these wearable, as FIN can control the device with much ease and accuracy.
Fin helps you access your Mobile utilities while jogging.Share your data with a tap of your fingers.Fin enables the users tho control their phone while driving, navigate maps, receive calls and read messages, change music, and other car utilities just by a finger swipe.
The legends who made this possible are

  • Rohil Dev.N(Founder/CEO/Innovationist)
  • Charls(Chief Product Officer)
  • Famees.T(Chief Operating Officer)
  • Aravind Sanjeev(Chief Technical officer)
  • Jithesh(Chief Financial officer)
  • Stallin(Business Development Officer)
  • Suneesh.T(Creative officer)

I am proud to add that all belong to our Nation.Hats off to these Young Indian Innovators!!!

It is officially announced that this product will be launched by the month of September this year and it costs between $100 and $170

Lets wait to throw our hand held gadgets and change our lifestyle!!!
Lets wear this Indian made FIN and make our life more stylish and comfortable!!!
Proud of you Indians!!!
Thumbs up!!!

MH370-Not the first time of Aerial disappearance!!!

What we know about flight MH370?

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370/MAS370is a scheduled airline passenger service that disappeared on 8 March 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport The aircraft operating the service, a Boeing 777-200ER last made contact with air traffic control less than an hour after take off.The aircraft was operated by Malaysia Airlines and was carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers from 15 countries.

There were 227 passengers, including 153 Chinese and 38 Malaysians, according to the manifest. Seven were children. Other passengers came from Iran, the US, Canada, Indonesia, Australia, India, France, New Zealand, Ukraine, Russia, Taiwan and the Netherlands. All 12 crew members were Malaysian.Among the Chinese nationals were a delegation of 19 prominent artists who had attended an exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. With so many of their nationals aboard, the Chinese government has been very involved in the search, expressing barely-concealed frustration with the lack of progress.
Malaysia Airlines said there were four passengers who checked in for the flight but did not show up at the airport.

Last communication made from MH370!!!

Flight MH370 departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 00:41 on Saturday (16:41 GMT Friday), and was due to arrive in Beijing at 06:30 (22:30 GMT).
Malaysia Airlines says the plane lost contact at 01:30 (17:30 GMT) - about an hour after takeoff.
The last verbal communication with the plane came at the boundary between Malaysian and Vietnamese airspace. Told by Malaysia's air traffic control that the flight was being passed to Ho Chi Minh control, the reply came back: "OK, roger that."

World's response!!!
As soon as this incident happened,Malaysian government called for a emergency and asked its navy, army, and civil aviation department to respond to it quickly. Within two days, the country had already dispatched more than 34 aircraft and 40 ships to the area.Qatar offered assistance, and the British and French air-crash investigating agencies – the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile (BEA) – offered help in investigation. The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization Preparatory Commission analysed information from its network of infrasound detection stations, but failed to find any sounds made by Flight 370.
Another 11 countries joined the search efforts by 17 March, after more assistance was requested by Malaysia, bringing the current total to 25.
singapore navy missile in search of MH370

Australian plane in search of MH370
Many countries such as India,Bangladesh,Brunel,China,Indonesia,Japan,Newzealand,
Singapore,SouthKorea,Phillipines,Vietnam etc joined hands and are working for that 239 souls.

Is this the first aerial disappearance?
Absolutely not.Nearly 125 airplanes have been disappeared knowingly or unknowingly since 1856.The first aircraft which left missed in 1856 was Ville de Paris in Cuba.
Blackburn which left out in 1928
Lock heed Atlair which disappeared in 1940
Douglas in 1948
But this is the first time,a flight is been missed with huge 239 people. Its somewhat a tragic incident of the decade.

Why can't these modern inventions trace its path?

Today,World is running because of science and its innovations. Then why can't the scientists able to trace the path after the place went missed.

There is still no sign of the plane, which vanished and some experts are now saying it is possible Flight 370 will never be found.

Experts believe part of the reason the search could end up being scaled back eventually is because of the sheer number of personnel and machinery involved, at a potential cost of billions of dollars a day. They say it will be very difficult to find wreckage in such a vast area of the southern Indian Ocean, where the average depth is more than 12,000 feet.
But its true that science can do wonders but not as much as Nature. The power of nature lies within itself.Though man can solve many mysteries,he is still searching for solving secrets of nature!!!

Could it have been a terrorist attack?

The plane was deliberately diverted, the Malaysian PM told a news conference.Malaysian officials also added that the plane has been hijacked and it has been diverted somewhere. It is brought to notice that two Iranian men were travelling on stolen passports - 19-year-old Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad and Delavar Seyed Mohammadreza, 29. But officials said the two, believed to be headed for Europe via Beijing, had no apparent links to terrorist groups.
However, the presence of two passengers with stolen passports raised questions about security.

Many people say many things!!!The truth is hidden somewhere!!!
As a human being let us spend some time to pray for those unlucky 239 souls who were living deep inside the ocean or under some terrorists!!!

 Lets pray for MH370!!!
Hope for a better future!!!
